“Come join Friends and the West 44th Street Better Block Association/Friends of Pier 84 as we celebrate the season. This community event includes fishing, games, rowboat lessons, and educational displays, activities for all ages, face-painting, free hot dogs and more! Live music will be offered by the Joe Diamond Trio (cool jazz) and the NYCity Slickers (bluegrass)! Also enjoy exhibits and tours of the New York Sun Works Science Barge, rowboat lessons from Floating the Apple, and Art & Ecology workshop from the Hudson River Park Trust and educational information from Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. Participate in star and sun gazing with the Amateur Astronomers Association, and talks by professors K.E. Saavik Ford and Barry McKernen of the Museum of Natural History. This event is FREE and open to the public. It should be a fabulous time, so please come join us! Pier 84 is at 44th Street and the Hudson River.”
