Verizon Working on New FiOS Features

NYConvergence stopped by the Verizon Studio this week at Citi Field, the new home of the New York Mets, to see a demo of FiOS TV. While there, we learned about some planned updates to the service for NY-area FiOS subscribers, including:
- A new DVR that will have 320 GB of memory for TV recordings.
- 70 different widgets are in the works which can be used on customers' televisions, many to be created by third-party developers.
Our hosts also told us that there's a possibility that in the future, FiOS subscribers will be able to use their smartphones to access the Twitter widget for FiOS.
