Snac Seeks to Provide Apps for ‘Regular’ Mobile Phones
Snac, a NY-based company and one of the presenters at today's PluggedIn: The Mobile and Social Media Summit, demonstrated its downloadable mobile application that creates an "iPhone-like interface on nearly 300 different mobile phones- both smartphones, and most importantly regular phones." The summit (pictured) was held in two locations which are party of the Sy Syms School of Business on Yeshiva University's campus in Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood.
The interface bore a resemblance to an application familiar to users of older Palm devices and other PDAs, Vindigo. And later on in the presentation, the company's representative, Kevin King, informed the attendees that had been at that company, which "aimed to bring a broader range of information to the Palm Pilot platform."
